So General Quarters is coming in off of a solid win in the Bluegrass Stakes. I really don't consider this to be the strongest prep race anymore, however, because it really doesn't tell me much. It's just another race that leaves its winner uproven on dirt heading into the biggest race of their life. I wouldn't count him out here but I'm not counting him in either.
Record: 11-3-3-1
This one is a son of Sky Mesa, who has proven to be a fairly good stud. On his mother's side, his grandsire is Unbridled's Song, who has been producing great horses left and right.
