Was much the second best in the Florida Derby--a statement with two meanings. First, Big Brown was much the best that day. Smooth Air was beaten six lengths. But Smooth Air was seven lengths better than the rest of the field, so it was a very good effort for him. His absolute biggest issue for saturday is this fever he's had. He's missed training due to this, and though he's fine now and all set to run, the timing couldn't be worse. Missing training before the Kentucky Derby can be detrimental.
