Of course, we come to Pyro--the major Derby favorite before his Bluegrass Stakes that wasn't. If he's been working well at Churchill, and we know he likes the track, he should be in the picture on Saturday. I've lowered him out of the number one spot, but he's still up there in my top three. I can't forget what he did in the Risen Star and the Louisiana Derby. He's a very good horse, and he should like the distance. I dont' really care for the looks of this horse (or at least not the way he runs), but he is very effective, and looks don't mean a thing in a race like this.
